Nine Islamic asylum seekers arrested for drugging and raping a woman in Austria
Nine men, who are all seeking asylum in Austria travelled to Vienna for New Year’s Eve celebrations where they allegedly drugged a woman and dragged her to a nearby apartment block before brutally raping her. Police were called on January 1 when the woman woke up to discover she had been the victim of a vile sex attack.
The attackers aged between 21 and 47 are alleged to have snatched the woman from Vienna’s central Schwedenplatz and assaulted her in an apartment where two of the suspects lived, between 2am and 6am.
But the arrests were made eight months later following a “protracted and difficult” investigation
The arrests were made in Austria after DNA evidence and CCTV footage was used to successfully build a case against the alleged rapists. This comes as Austria’s anti-immigrant Freedom Party desperately attempts to overturn the result of June’s presidential election after a re-run was ordered by a judge when evidence showed “irregularities” in the count.
A police spokesperson said:
Some Austrians have demanded that the men be “immediately deported” if they are convicted of the rape.

On the trail of the suspects, investigators came by DNA material, interviews with witnesses and images from surveillance cameras.”Police say the woman had been drinking but believes she may have been drugged as she does not remember getting to the apartment. The men have all denied the accusations.

Amber Heard and Johnny Depp settle domestic violence case
According to TMZ, Amber Heard has dismissed her domestic violence restraining order petition against her estranged husband, Johnny Depp, as the case has settled. Read the report below...
As we reported, Johnny's lawyers, Laura Wasser and Blair Berk, along with Amber's lawyers, Pierce O'Donnell and Samantha Spector, crafted a settlement after Amber was grilled Saturday during a deposition.
Amber and Johnny released a joint statement: "Our relationship was intensely passionate and at times volatile, but always bound by love..."
The statement goes on: "Neither party has made false accusations for financial gains." That's an interesting sentence, because it does not say neither party has made false statements.
And it goes on ... "There was never an intent of physical or emotional harm."
And it ends this way ... "Amber wishes the best for Johnny in the future. Amber will be donating financial proceeds from the divorce to a charity." She does not specify what percentage and which charity.
Amber and Johnny filed legal docs Tuesday in which Amber withdrew her request for a restraining order. She had alleged Johnny brutalized her on May 21 but now the case is over. She dismissed the case with prejudice, meaning she can never re-file it.The divorce case, which was tied to the domestic violence petition, is also resolved. As we reported, our sources say Johnny agreed to pay Amber approximately $7 million to walk away ... that includes attorneys' fees ... at a point, $8 million was on the table, so she ended up with a mil less.
